What is Antardasha

Antardasha is the sub-periods of Mahadasha for nine planets. A Mahadasha is further divided into nine parts as per the nine planets as “Antardashas”. However, the duration of each Antardasha for each planet is proportional depends as per the planet’s Mahadasha period.

Mahadasha provides a broad outline of the main planet’s influence. But “Antardasha” digs into the shades by introducing sub-periods associated with each planet which I have already told. Calclulation of Antardasha Period

For example,

The Mahadasha period of Sun=6 years

Antardasha period of Sun during the Sun Mahadasha will be 6Years × 6Years/120=0.3 years, means 3 months. So, the Antardasha sub-period of the Sun will be 3 months.

Take another example:

The Mahadasha period of Sun= 6 years

The Mahadasha period of Moon = 10 years

So, Sun’s Mahadasha Period x Moon’s Antardasha Period= 6years x 10 years/120 years (total Vimsottari Dasha )= 0.5 years means 5 months. Finally, Moon’s

Antardasha period will be 5 months in Sun’s Mahadasha Period.

When the native has “Antardasha” of a “Dharm Trikone” house like 1st,5th and 9th house. The native will get benefit during the period like change in job or career, increment in the salary, achieve a higher position, got married.
