The Meaning of Chaturpada Karana
Chatushpada Karana is called Sthir Karana. It is a symbol of four-legged animals like a bull. Its results are also normal and its state is considered to be dormant i.e. inactive. Its ruling deity is Vrishabha (bull) and the planet lord is Ketu. Rudra is the Devta of Chatushpada Karana.
When does Chatushpada Karana Happened?
Chatushpada Karana(चतुष्पद करण) happened in the first half of Amavasya Tithi. This Karana is also not accepted for any auspicious works like Marriage, Mundan, Upanayana Sanskar, Griha Pravesh etc. due to lack of auspiciousness. It is advised not to do any auspicious work in this Karana. It is also advised not to start any new work in this Karana. Starting any business work during this Karana period is not considered auspicious. Works like marriage ceremony or engagement, naming ceremony or travel etc. are not good in this Karana.
