Lunar Eclipse (Chandra Grahan) as per Sanatan Mythology
The story of lunar eclipse is related to the churning of the ocean. In ancient times, gods and demons together churned the ocean. 14 gems were found in this churning. Deep Lunar Eclipse (पूर्ण चंद्र ग्रहण)
When the Moon is completely eclipsed by the Earth, as in a "deep eclipse", it turns red, which is caused by the planet blocking direct sunlight from reaching the Moon's surface. kind of blocks it. Because it is the only light that is reflected from the surface of the Moon. That is what has been refracted by the Earth's atmosphere. This light appears red due to Rayleigh scattering of blue light, which is why sunrise and sunset are more orange than during the day.
