Who is Kazi Nazrul?
Kazi Nazrul Islam is the national poet of Bangladesh. Every year on May 25, his birthday is celebrated as a birth anniversary. Nazrul Islam was born on 24 May 1899 to a Bengali Muslim family. The day is organized and celebrated by various schools, colleges and universities in Bengal, and also by Bengalis around the world as a tribute to Nazrul and his works.
Why Kazi Nazrul Islam is Famous for?
Kazi Nazrul Islam(काजी नजरुल इस्लाम) was a great scholar, he was genius in both a poet and a revolutionary. He lived during the days of British India and wrote openly in favour of the independence movement. For these activities, he was often imprisoned by the authorities, but even that, he did stop, still he continued his writing. His famous work Deposition of a Political Prisoner was written in jail.
